Banana cake seems to be a snack of choice for many Australians right now as we’re spending a lot more time at home. So, we’ve jumped on the bandwagon too with our healthier banana bread recipe, and a few of our favourite snacks to enjoy.
Now is the ideal time to do all the things we tell ourselves we’ll do but never seem to get around to, like reading more, getting creative, learning to bake bread, learning a language, and so on. So with that in mind, we think it’s time to get creative in the kitchen and make snacks you can enjoy at home.
Check out these super delicious snacks
If you’re looking for something light and sweet, try the yoghurt dipped strawberries. They are a little bit tart but super juicy and super easy to make. You can also test out this recipe with other fruits like raspberries, kiwifruit, banana or mango.
These would also be perfect as the final course of your virtual dinner party.
Banana bread – of course
Everyone is making banana bread right now, so we thought we’d get a slice of the action. We’ve got a healthier banana bread the whole family will enjoy – so you may need to hide a few slices for yourself.
Peanut butter bars
A Fernwood favourite, these peanut butter bars barely made it out of the studio kitchen before they were all gobbled up. Enjoy one of these bars with a warm cup of tea.
We know it’s starting to get a little cooler, particularly in the southern parts of Australia, so this mango and banana nice cream is best enjoyed when you’re snuggled up under a warm blanket.
If a savoury snack is your preference, you’ve got to try these broccoli gems. Don’t let the broccoli scare you off, they are much more delicious than they might sound! Plus, they’re a great way to get the kids eating more vegetables too!
We’ve got a stack of recipes just like these, plus breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes available on our exclusive MyFernwood platform. If you’re interested in getting access to these delicious recipes, plus at home workouts, virtual yoga flows, meditations, and more, click here.
