The Process

The journey to becoming a Fernwood franchisee can take as long as you need. This period allows for you and Fernwood to fully assess the compatibility of the business to your skills and needs. The process involves the following:

Enquiry: Complete the on line enquiry form on this website. The Franchise Development Manager will then be in contact to provide you with a link to our secure online application form.

First Meeting: If your application meets our initial selection criteria, we will then invite you to meet with a Fernwood Representative in your home capital city.

Information Franchise Kit: If both parties decide to continue on this journey, your next step will be to submit a fully refundable application fee of $1000. Upon receipt you will receive the formal documentation in the Information Disclosure Pack which you are expected to seek legal and financial advice. This is an appropriate time to source finance.

Due Diligence: As part of your due diligence we encourage the opportunity to speak with Fernwood franchisees. We value providing prospective franchisees transparent understanding of our business.

Business Plan: If you decide this business opportunity is right for you then you must submit a business plan. Templates for business plans and budgets forecasts are available to assist with this task. Fernwood will review the business plan together with providing links for our profiling tools.

Approval Franchisee: Thereafter Fernwood will advise if you are approved as franchisees.

Club Site Location and approval (if applicable) Follow our site selection criteria

Funding Confirmation: Typically once a club location has been agreed, the franchisee knows exactly how much the club will cost. This then enables the franchisee to secure / confirm fund

Franchise Agreement Completion: With your success, you will be expected to sign the franchise documentation and pay the franchise fee.

Training: Prior to the commencement of your business a 3 week training will be scheduled– first week at National Support Office followed by 2 weeks in club.

New Club Opening: Comprehensive staff induction and training prior to opening together with pre launch marketing campaign.
