On World Diabetes Day (November 14) Fernwood Women’s Health Clubs are encouraging women to take a serious look at their health and lifestyle and assess their risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes representing more than 85 per cent of all persons living with diabetes in Australia. Type 2 diabetes is the result of a combination of both genetic and environmental factors and while there is no cure for it, there is certainly a lot you can do to prevent it.
